2020 GENERATOR TRAINING SCHEDULE

HEALTH ALERT!

In order to be proactive and safeguard the health of our visitors, we are postponing service training classes beginning March 16 through the end of May. The Taylor Group of Companies understands the need to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus and will closely monitor the situation. Training classes will be rescheduled at a later date and we will keep everyone up to date. We appreciate your understanding.

Automatic Transfer Switch

This is a 3-day class that covers both ASCO and Eaton Transfer switches. This training includes the following:

"B" Technician Class

(Prerequisite: C class, paralleling, Intermediate Electricity)

This is a 3-day class for 2nd level Technicians. This Class will cover the following topics:

  • Full Preventive Maintenance
  • Fire pump Control Systems
  • ATS operational test and manual operations
  • Load bank connection and testing
  • Start-up inspection on basic units up to 600kW
  • Identify and correct phase rotation
  • Gen set removal and installation
  • Basic Diesel and Gas engine
  • AC alternator testing and replacement

December 8th - 10th

This is a 3-day class that covers the following as it applies to the Poultry line of Taylor Gensets:

  • Fundamentals of Electricity
  • AC alternator

  • Controllers

December 28th - 30th

"B" Technician Class

(Prerequisite: C class, paralleling, Intermediate Electricity)

This is a 3-day class for 2nd level Technicians. This Class will cover the following topics:

Overview

Each training session begins promptly and 8:00am and concludes at 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

Training is provided at our production facility located at 947 Industrial Park Drive, Clinton Mississippi 39056. When arriving for training enter the Main entrance and sign in at the front desk, from there you will be directed to the Training Room.

Travel and Accommodations:

Students are responsible for their travel to and from Clinton, Mississippi as well as travel while visiting. If traveling by plane, we recommend flying into Jackson-Medgar Evers International Airport, (JAN) in Jackson, Mississippi. Once arriving in Jackson, students will need to arrange their own transportation. Travel from the airport to Clinton is only about 30 minutes during non-rush hours.

Meal Policy:

Morning Snacks and lunch will be provided for each day of class. All other meals are the responsibility of the student.

Conclusion:

Service training classes have a maximum of 15 students with the exception of the Advanced TICS and Advanced Hydraulic service training classes. A maximum number of ten (10) students will be allowed for the advanced classes only. All classes require a minimum number of (8) students to be conducted. Any class with less than the minimum required enrollment of eight (8) will be canceled. Enrollment is handled on a first-come-first-served basis and is subject to availability. Enrollment reservation should be made as soon as possible. Please call or email the service training coordinator for availability. Pending enrollments, a reminder of the service training class and the date of the class will be emailed prior to the class allowing ample time for travel arrangements.
